Ugh! Any idea of where to get a copy of the connectivity pack online? Or am I going to have to resurrect one of my old desktops just to transfer it. iPhone Explorer works fine, if a bit clunky. Next, I have emu71 running, along with a couple of games, and they're great. Second, when I go to the generic dos prompt, how do I get back? If I try the traditional "exit", the app locks up until I soft rest my iPad. Am I missing some way to change settings or configuration options? I just get a window with a see-thru keyboard. Okay, so I have a couple of questions.įirst, how do you get those different views? When I run iDos, I don't see the computer-looking screen and so on. Many DOS Programs could be exited via either Q, ESC, F10, or alike. Message #10 Posted by Raymond Del Tondo on, 12:22 a.m., But how do I exit the EMU71 app in the iPhone environment? I got the 71b running and could do a CAT ALL, etc. Message #9 Posted by gene wright on, 9:56 p.m., Message #8 Posted by gene wright on, 3:11 p.m.,Įgan. I played Wolfenstein on the iPhone at lunch. Message #7 Posted by gene wright on, 2:50 p.m., Yes, it should work on all 4.0 iOS or later devices. If you have a $99/year Apple dev lic you could build it yourself, however the tool chain used is not Apples, so it may be a bit more cumbersome. It is out of date and has no direct support for iPad or Retina Display (iPhone 4). Like Gene said, you have to Jailbreak to run it. Message #6 Posted by Egan Ford on, 10:55 a.m., It will work on any generation device as long a iOS 4.0 or later is running. You have to have an iPhone, iPad or iPod Tocuh for iDOS. I should have been clearer on this, I have an iPod Touch 3rd gen. ![]() Message #5 Posted by Katie Wasserman on, 10:36 a.m., However, I wonder if you can achieve the same results by using something like iPhone Explorer to make all the changes required to get Mini vMac running? Requirements seem to suggest a jailbroken iPhone to put Mini vMac on one. I've now got the HP100LX connectivity pack running on my ipod. Message #2 Posted by Katie Wasserman on, 11:54 a.m., Re: iDOS Lives! Get it while you can (IOW, EMU71/EMU41 on iPad/iPhone)! Then you can browse the file system of your i* device and then drag and drop files to your iDOS Doc folder.īTW iPhone Explorer is easier to use than iTunes for file xfers, so its really no loss. Install iPhone Explorer for Windows or Mac. The catch is that you cannot use iTunes to place your files in iDOS, so no EMU*.*. IDOS is back up on the App store and it's free.
